Teaching Fractions

About Teaching Fractions

Free fraction games, worksheets and classroom tools for children

Teaching Fractions is a collection of free interactive fraction games, printable worksheets and classroom teaching tools designed to help children build confidence with halves, quarters, equivalent fractions, fraction models and simple fraction calculations. The resources support primary maths learning in school and at home, with visual activities that make fractions easier to understand and practise.

Our background

Teaching Fractions is part of Interactive Resources, created by Primary Games Ltd, a company with more than 25 years of experience in educational software.

Founded in 2000 by former teacher Mark Cogan, the company has developed award-winning resources used by schools and families around the world. Our Maths Pack Series received the BETT Award for Best Educational Primary Software and has been used in over 10,000 schools worldwide.

We combine classroom experience with digital learning design to create fraction resources that are visual, practical and easy for children to use independently or with support.

What we believe

We are passionate about making maths clear, engaging and accessible for every learner. Fractions can feel tricky at first, so our resources use colour, images, models and interactive practice to help children see what fractions mean and build confidence step by step.

What we aim to do

Our aim is to provide simple, high-quality fraction resources that support understanding, fluency and confidence through interactive games, printable activities and teacher-friendly classroom tools.

Designed for school and home

Whether children are learning in the classroom, revising at home or exploring maths through play, Teaching Fractions is designed to make fraction practice more motivating and accessible. The games and activities focus on recognising fractions, matching visual models, comparing values, finding equivalent fractions and developing a stronger understanding of part-whole relationships.

We believe that regular, positive practice can make a big difference, and we are proud to offer free resources that teachers, parents and children can return to again and again.
